documentation:data – Seasons API Documentation

Seasonal Data

The Seasons API provides seasonal data of a large variety of crops. We distinguish between local and import seasons. Local seasons are only available to fruits that are commonly grown in the specified region. Import seasons indicate that a there is a high availability of the crop imported from other regions. This usually coheres with local availability in other areas but doesn't necessarily match these exactly due to demand or habits of target markets.

A crop might have multiple seasons, be it import or local. A single season could be all year round, not having a start and end date, or by having such be limited to a period of time. These start and end dates are usually set to start or mid of a month. Due to regional weather conditions and climatic fluctuations these are or not actual/360 but regional approximate values.
